If you’ve been following Pat’s GPS, you might’ve noticed he still hasn’t taken another day off the bike, or a “zero day,” since his first in Utah during Week 3. As if biking cross-country wasn’t enough of a challenge, he’s added a new goal: make it back to Winona Forest without stopping.

Last week was pretty decent—fair weather, nice trails through Indiana into Ohio, and a few good camping spots. He hit 3,000 miles and finished Under a War-Torn Sky: “I was so into the main character, I cried at the end. A well-spent $1.09.”

Highlights: Being on designated bike trails with NO motor vehicle traffic

Lowlights: Crossing an incredibly dangerous bridge into Cincinnati, I had to drop off a landing into speeding traffic to get the bike around multiple bridge abutments. A terrifying 20 minutes.
