It was another week of a lot of the same—riding on major roads, no shade, and lots of wind. Pat’s fallen back in love with grapefruit. He went five days without a shower. And, he visited the Pioneer Village Museum in Milden, Nebraska.

Pat’s nephew rode with him for 20 miles through Colorado, which was a highlight. In Nebraska, he had a beer with a friend from Winona Forest.

He logged 2,000 miles this week and got his seventh flat. He’s planning to take another zero day once he reaches the Katy Trail in Missouri, likely mid-week.

Highlights: Pat’s nephew joining him for 20 miles through Colorado

Lowlights: That same nephew putting rocks in his trunk bag (which Pat didn’t find until later that evening)
